Rimrock House Line 10-Year Limited Warranty

Every Rimrock house-line mattress (Studio, Cottage, Craftsman, Bungalow and Loft) is covered by this 10-year limited warranty from Rimrock Mattress. Helix and MOLECULE mattresses are covered by their own manufacturers' warranties instead; ask us for those terms.

Who is covered

This warranty extends to the original purchaser of a new house-line mattress bought from Rimrock Mattress, in our Billings store or on this website, and shipped to an address in the United States. It lasts for as long as the original purchaser owns the mattress, up to 10 years from the original purchase date, and it is not transferable. Please keep your receipt or order confirmation as proof of purchase.

What is covered

For 10 years from the original purchase date, Rimrock Mattress will repair or replace, at our option and at no charge, a mattress that has one of these defects in materials or workmanship under normal use:

  • A visible indentation or sag deeper than 1.5 inches that is not caused by an improper or unsupportive foundation, base or frame.
  • Foam or coil material that splits, cracks or breaks down despite normal use and proper handling.
  • A manufacturing defect in the mattress cover or its assembly.

A replacement will be the same model and size as the original. If the model has been discontinued, we will substitute a house-line mattress of comparable build and value. A repaired or replaced mattress is covered for the remainder of the original 10-year term, not a new term.

What is not covered

  • Normal softening of comfort foams that does not affect the support of the mattress.
  • Comfort preference. If the feel is not right for you, that is what the 100-night sleep trial is for.
  • Physical damage to the mattress or cover, including burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage, stains or soiling, and any defect caused by that damage.
  • Damage or sagging caused by an improper foundation, box spring, adjustable base or frame (see below).
  • A mattress that has had its cover removed, or that has been used without a proper foundation.
  • Mattresses sold as floor models, clearance, used or as-is, and mattresses bought from anyone other than Rimrock Mattress.
  • Foundations, bases, pillows, protectors and other bedding.

The foundation you need

Your mattress must be supported by a firm, solid or slatted base and a frame that can carry the weight of the mattress and the people sleeping on it. Slats must be no more than 5 inches apart. Queen, King and California King sizes need a center support rail with legs to the floor. A sagging box spring, an old foundation or a frame without adequate support will void this warranty.

How to make a claim

  1. Call 406-661-5704 or email sales@rimrockmattress.com and tell us what you are seeing.
  2. Send your proof of purchase and clear photos of the mattress, including the law tag, the defect, and a straight edge or tape measure across any indentation with nothing on the bed.
  3. We review the claim with the manufacturer and get back to you. If we need to inspect the mattress in person, we will arrange that with you.
  4. For an approved claim, we repair or replace the mattress. Within 100 miles of our Billings store, Rimrock covers pickup of the defective mattress and delivery of the replacement. Outside 100 miles, the customer pays the shipping for the exchange.

The mattress must be clean and free of stains for a claim to be processed, so we recommend a washable mattress protector from day one.

Limits of this warranty

This is a limited warranty. Repair or replacement as described above is the only remedy under it. To the extent permitted by law, Rimrock Mattress is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, and any implied warranties are limited to the 10-year term of this warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so these limits may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state.
